Do I have to start with a clean-up? Can’t I just book regular mowing?
For ongoing clients, yes — we start with a full clean-up first. This isn’t about making you spend more — it’s so we can get your property to a point where maintenance is actually efficient and effective. Most new clients are coming from a space that’s a bit behind (overgrown, neglected, inconsistent). Once we’ve done the initial tidy-up, we can look after it properly and keep it that way.
What’s actually included in the clean-up?
Every job is different, but generally it includes:
Lawn mowing and edging
Weeding garden beds
Trimming hedges
Clearing leaves and debris
Light pruning
Green waste removal
Optional pressure washing (if needed)
We’ll walk you through what’s needed during the quote, based on your garden and your goals.
How much does a garden clean-up cost?
It really depends on the size of your property and how much work is needed. Some clean-ups take a couple of hours, others take most of the day — it all comes down to how far along things are and what needs doing. We’ll give you a clear quote during the free on-site visit before anything starts. No surprises.
Is the ongoing maintenance cheaper after the clean-up?
Yes — absolutely.
The initial visit usually involves more time, gear, and clean-up work. But once we’ve reset everything, maintaining it is much faster, cleaner, and more cost-efficient. The more frequently we visit, the more affordable and effective it becomes over time.
Can I do some of it myself and just get help with the rest?
Totally up to you. Some clients like to handle their own garden beds or sweeping, and we take care of the lawns and hedges. Others prefer us to handle everything. Just let us know during the quote — we’re happy to work around whatever works for you.
How soon can you book me in?
We usually book clean-ups within a week or two, depending on location and current demand. Once we’ve done your free quote, we’ll find the earliest available time that suits you.

We’re based in Camberwell and service: Hawthorn, Glen Iris, Burwood, Canterbury, Balwyn, Surrey Hills and surrounds. If you’re nearby and unsure — just reach out and ask.
Do I need to be home for the quote or the clean-up?
It helps if you’re home for the quote so we can walk through everything together, but it’s not essential. For the actual service day, as long as we’ve agreed on the scope and there’s access to the yard, you don’t need to be there.
